Selling Various Type Engine Mounting Cars
Engine mounting is an important component of your car because it connects the engine to the chassis. Without this part, the power from the engine cannot be transferred smoothly to the ground without tearing the chassis.
Trans Mounting
We sell car mounting trans which are generally made with solid rubber bearing elements welded to a pair of steel plates bolted to the engine and chassis transmission. Trans mounting offers an excellent vibration and noise-reducing effect, but tends to crack and tear after a while, and also allows the most movement under load. This results in less power being transferred through the driveline from the engine and to the rear wheels.
Metal Mounting
As the name implies, there is no rubber or polyurethane in its manufacture. Metal mounting consists of strong metal, which means it allows the most vibration and noise. That might sound like a drawback, but the amount of power transferred to the wheels is maximum because they flex a little under load. Recommended only for competition due to vibration and noise factors.
Hydro Mounting
This is a liquid-filled mounting that allows hydro mounting to absorb and dampen engine vibrations which would otherwise pass through conventional solid rubber stands. But it tends to be more expensive than those made of rubber.
Electronic Mounting
Some of the final model imported vehicles have electronically controlled "active" mounting that can change the mounting rigidity to cancel out harmonics at various engine speeds and loads. It can use vacuum actuators to change the mount's rigidity and some produce their own counter shakes to compensate for engine vibrations at various speeds.
